From the President

Entries for Quilt Showcase are being accepted until 15 September 2021.

We are currently waiting for the Victorian Government to announce when restrictions will be lifted and we will then be able to arrange for the quilt entries to be judged.  Expertise Events are yet to confirm the dates of the Melbourne Craft and Quilt Fair and the Australasian Quilt Convention which is currently scheduled for early December 2021.

We are hoping that we will all be able to travel for the One Step Further Exhibition at the Kyabram Town Hall Gallery from the 1 October to 30 November 2021.

I hope you are all keeping well and have found a new routine whilst we are in this extended lockdown.  Are all your cupboards clean and tidy or have you spent your time stitching or reading?.  Maybe you are enjoying time in the garden. To those in regional Victoria there is a little bit of envy that you may now travel and meet friends for a coffee.

I am really enjoying hand piecing and now have a list of quilts that I would like to make.  Lucky I have a stash of fabric, patterns & templates, although I have had to add a few bits and pieces, which helps our small businesses.

Take care and keep well.

Kind regards

Marie Lee
